Master Data Management without the multi-year programme

Most master data management efforts fail the same way: they try to boil the ocean and run out of sponsorship before delivering anything. A smaller-scoped approach can reach a single source of truth in a quarter.
Pick one domain
Choose the one entity that hurts most, usually customer or product, and get it right end to end before touching anything else. A working slice that real systems depend on builds the credibility a big-bang program never earns.
- Scope to a single, painful entity first.
- Govern it with real owners, not a committee.
- Expose it through an API so adoption is easy.
