Salesforce Data Cloud × MuleSoft: real-time customer 360 in 90 days

We built a streaming Customer 360 for a global retailer in 90 days. Salesforce Data Cloud handled the unification and activation; MuleSoft did the heavy lifting of getting clean, well-shaped events into it in near real time.
Where each tool pulls its weight
Data Cloud is strong at resolving identities and activating segments. It is not an integration platform. MuleSoft owns the ingestion: connecting source systems, normalising their events and guaranteeing delivery, so Data Cloud always works from a trustworthy stream.
The seams between the two are where projects slow down. Agree the canonical event shape early, version it, and treat the contract between MuleSoft and Data Cloud as a first-class deliverable.
